LANTERN
RANGE
Aventus 1 is created to answer to the aesthetical, mechanical and
lighting needs of our customers. This elegant and innovative design
can be used in a variety of urban landscapes. Aventus 1 can
accommodate 70W, 100W, 150W HPS, MBI and 80W, 125W MBF lamps.
APPLICATION
Aventus 1 is the Nordex’s solution for lighting highways, turn-offs,
main streets, freeways and car parks.
CONSTRUCTION
The body, cover and spigot fixing are made of high-quality die-cast
aluminium alloy and finished in corrosion resistant polyester powder
coat paint (RAL 9007), applied over a chromate conversion coating
giving an extended service life the cover can easily accommodate a
photocell. The reflector is made of hydro formed 0.90 mm high purity
aluminium (99,85%), electrically brightened, anodised and chemically
treated giving an improved distribution. Internal gaskets are made
of antiageing, tropicalised and weather resistant silicon rubber so
ensuring trouble free use.
ELECTRICAL
Gear Compartment
All electrical accessories are completely pre-wired on a removable
end replaceable steel gear tray (Class I ). The gear compartment can
be easily accessed by opening the top cover (canopy) of the luminare.
It can also accommodate a photocell . High temperature silicon
insulated conductors (1.5 sq mm ) are used throughout. In the class
II mode the lantern is fitted with an in-line disconnecting switch
which ensures that the electrical supply is immediately disconnected
when the luminaire is open and the gear tray can be made in
polycabonate
Lamp and Reflector Compartment
The lamp holder can be easily adjusted horizontally (towards the
axis of the road) to attain a very exact directional beam control
and to suit different road width. This system is a unique and
effective feature which helps bring light where it is most needed.
The reflector is designed in such a way as to maximize spacing
between poles, light uniformity and luminance. The lamp & reflector
compartment has been specially designed to get a very high ( IP 66,
dust tight and jet water proof) ingress protection.
MAINTENANCE
Lamp replacement is easily achieved by releasing two lateral screws
and rotating the lamp holder housing. In-line disconnecting switch
assures that the electrical circuit is automatically disconnected
when the luminaire is open
MECHANICAL
The spigot fixing adapter is reversible and allows the adjustment of
the lantern from 0° to +15° for vertical mounting and from 0° to
-20° for horizontal mounting, both in steps of 5°. The spigot fixing
is Ø 60mm.
