LOW-BAY
LUMINAIRES
RANGE
A low mounting rectangular fitting with glare limitation class 1,
which may be used with different high intensity discharge lamps i.e.
150W/250W/400W HPS, 250W/400W MBI, and MBF lamps.
APPLICATIONS
A comprehensive range of light fittings ideal for use in canopies,
shopping centres, warehouses, petrol stations, sports halls, and
industrial premises. For extra protection in areas such as sports
halls you can attach a wire guard. The wide range of lamp options
enable selection of the optimum combination of lamp efficiency and
colour rendering to suit many different applications.
CONSTRUCTION
The body is formed from robust zinc treated sheet of steel and
finished in a durable powder coated polyester white paint. The frame
hinged to the luminaire body provides safe fixing of the gear tray
and accessories i.e. louvre , wire guard or protection glass. During
installation the gear tray can be removed from the luminaire body to
allow quick and easy installation. The high purity dimpled aluminium
reflector is designed to optimise the output of modern tubular
discharge lamps. The wide beam bisymmetric reflector directs light
where it is needed at the same time produces sufficient illumination
for general lighting.
ELECTRICAL
A separate gear tray, but integral part of the main housing contains
all electrical components. The control gear is rated 230V or 240V 50
Hz as standard. HPS and MBI circuits are fitted with superimposed
pulse electronic ignitors, minimising the possibility of ballast
failure in prologed operation with a failed lamp inserted. A three
pole terminal block for mains connection is provided. High
temperture silicon insulated conductors are used throughout.
MECHANICAL
The " keyholes" are provided in the rear of the luminaire body to
facilitate use of 20 mm conduit entry/suspensions or standard hooks
for chain suspension. Surface mounting or B.E.S.A. box attachment
can also be acheived by use of the suspension bracket. This bracket
can also be used for direct mounting to trunking systems when only
short reach suspension bushes are available .
ACCESSORIES
Wire guard: wire guard for impact protection.
Tempered glass: to contain fragments in the event of lamp fracture.
Louvre: a white louvre to provide additional glare control.
Anti black-out lamp sensor: an electronic sensor detects a failed or
extinguished lamp due to mains interuption induced restrike delay.
An integral auxillary lamp is switched on to provide safety
illumination. When the main lamp is on, the auxillary is
automatically switched off.
SPECIFICATION
Designed in accordance with the following Standards: CEI 34-2 and
EN60598-1.
