RANGE
The Lunar® luminaire is suitable for use with a wide range of energy
saving HID lamps including 150W/250W/400W HPS, 250W/400W MBI and
250/400W MBF.
APPLICATIONS
The Lunar® luminaire is suitable to be used in difficult
environmental conditions where maximum security is essential. The
high performance of this luminaire with all type of energy saving
HID lamps, combined with the IP 65 ingress protection provides an
ideal luminaire to be used in exposed areas such as harbour quays,
railway stations, service stations, food industries, pharmaceutical
industries, steel works and ship yards.
CONSTRUCTION
The body houses the lampholder and control gear separately, is
produced in die-cast aluminium and finished in a durable powder
coated polyester black paint. The E40 lampholder is mounted onto a
regulation device which allows the reflector to emit six diffrent
distribution patterns. The 99.8 % purity aluminium polished and
anodized reflector has a tempered cover glass that is fixed in
position by stainless steel hooks. A special silicon gasket is used
between the glass and the reflector. For extra protection a
polycarbonate refractor can be used.
ELECTRICAL
Control gear is rated 230V or 240V 50Hz as standard. HPS and MBI
circuits are fitted with superimposed pulse electronic ignitors as
standard,minimising the possibility of ballast failure in prologed
operation with a failed lamp inserted. A three pole terminal block
for mains connection is provided. High temperture silicon insulated
conductors are used throughout.
MECHANICAL
Lunar can either be directly mounted on the ceiling or suspended
thanks to the special balancing device supplied. The power supply
enters through a PG 13.5 cable gland. The body can be fully opend up
and the gear tray completely removed, this guarantees a simple and
rapid maintenance operation.
ACCESSORIES
Polycarbonate Refractor: May be used for extra protection.
Wire guard: A steel wire guard to be used with the aluminium
reflector, is available to protect the glass from impact damage .
Drop Dish Prismatic Lens: the drop dish can be used to soften and
disburse light thus minimizing glare and maximising visual comfort.
Note that this accessory can only be used with Lunar® Aluminium
reflector.
Anti black-out lamp sensor: an electronic sensor detects a failed or
extinguished lamp due to mains interuption induced restrike delay.
An integral auxillary lamp is switched on to provide safety
illumination.
When the main lamp is on, the auxillary is automatically switched
off .
